The translation of "El pretendiente". It's a love poem... I did my best translating it.
The pretender

With red eyes and blurred look
I’ll wait for you to arrive
I’ll wait for you until the end
I’ll wait for the moon
For it to spin in the sky
Like your voice spins in my mind
Like the seagull flies over the sea
I’ll wait for it to fall down and drown forever...
And I’ll wait for a word, for a sound
Maybe a surprise...
The destiny is clear however
The midday sun has predicted it
And thus pointed by the messenger dragonfly
And by the lonely morning star:
Summer doesn’t take surprises
¿But why don’t you arrive?
Now the clouds cover the sun
Now the sidereal brightness disappears
And the moon starts to fade out
And my eyelids cannot resist
Pass the seconds and heavier they are
They want to turn off forever
¡But no!
I’ll sew them to my eyebrows
And pin my chin with a needle
And I’ll wait awake for you
I’ll wait for you until the end
Until the last stellar jewel disappears
Until the white flower fulfills her thirst of blood
And the red one her thirst of milk...
And I’ll be still waiting...
I’ll wait for the arms to rise
Because today is like yesterday
Because today I want to chat with you
¡Look! I have it written in my skin
I want to read you
I want to write you
And to send you hidden messages
Within each line I write
Within each sentence I utter
For you to discover them in your dreams
For you to lay down in my fool intentions
And I’ll be still waiting...
Waiting for the wind to blow
For the days to pass
For me to gloriously drown
In the white river cutting through your skin
Flooding my imagination
I’ll wait for all this to pass
Just to offer to you bitter chocolate
For you to sweeten it with your tongue
So I enjoy the movement of your lips
Divine gate to a mundane paradise
Which you have forbid me to enter...
You know it
I’ll be waiting...
I’ll wait looking at the sky
Looking directly at the sun
And when you arrive, I’ll wait
For you to ask finally for my company
After having meditated about it an eternity
With the simplest movement of your head
With a subtle gesture of your eyebrows
With a gaze...
And I’ll remain by your side
Protecting you from the golden arrows
Contemplating the most hidden constellations of your body
While dragonflies fly over our heads
¡Yes!
I’ll wait for you
And I’ll remain by your side forever
Even if you don’t wait for me
When the wind is stronger than my will
When I faint away and shut my eyes
When my mouth and my hand betray me
And at the end I cannot offer you more than just silence...
