My grandmother passed away...this is for her.
When I saw it was a dark and dreary day
All I did was to begin to pray

I prayed that the rains would pass
And that the Lord could finish His task

She is someone everyone could love
Now she is with the dear Lord above

Her friendship is a great treasure
Her love no one could ever measure

You may consider this a tragic death
For she has had her very last breath

Although it seems as if she is gone
The memories and love lives on

I loved listening to every single story
Everything about her had a certain glory

Although at times it is very hard to cope
With the Lord in control there is always hope

It seems like yesterday that I had seen her smiling face
Yet every time I have seen her, she filled the room with grace

For some of us, she gave a path to walk
And also a certain language to talk

She has left an impression on someone every day
All I can say is “Thank you for your loving way”

This should be a time of sorrow because she is gone
Yet this is a time of rejoicing because the memories live on…
