My creative mind went on vacation. She came back with this.
Secrets

This disconnection I have from life
is frightening.
My mind holds me captive
forcing memories better left alone
insisting I examine a life of old.
Oh they wait for me
laughing in their triumph
certain in their belief
that I am weak.
They have conquered me.
But I have a secret.
A knowledge I wish to share.
Come closer my love
let me whisper in your ear.
