Heroin addiction, and the person who loves the addict.
Smoking a cigarette
in a New York cafe
What can I say?
He looks at me
saying, Hey Darcy
Hey Darcy

Baking brownies
Lick the chocolate off my finger
The Doors on the stereo
The phone is ringing
I can't hear it over my singing

He feels a little bit sick
in the alley
He comes home and I see it in his eyes
Whispering, Hey Darcy
Hey Darcy

I hide it on him the next day
I want him to stay
I know he'll take the fall
Over Lennon, while I'm making dinner
I hear him scream
Hey Darcy, Hey Darcy

I kiss the cold sweat on his forehead
and he breaks down and cries
I forget the lies
I hope he'll once again say
Hey Darcy, yeah
Hey Darcy
