Too Late

I closed my heart to lovers
And opened it to friends
Then our paths met together
We journeyed without end
Your eyes spark with desire
Your smile cut the darkness
You vanished my fears and frights
You filled my life with gladness
Yet how hard I was
For I never accepted your love
Till time came we have to part
The hurts and pains just prove
That you still rule my heart
Oh it’s too late, just too late
For I only learned to love you
When destiny closed its gates
