In darkness, I know I'll find you, giving up inside, like me.
The Life You Didn't Lead

Home.

Returning.
From somewhere
To someplace safe.

And for once in the night
I watch the colour of the lights
As they paint the walls from outside.

But I am only living in a memory
Not quite vital and alive.
Though I am at peace in my mind
And I am Godlike.

And for the first time ever, I am safe.
And that moment will always last.
In the place in my mind
Where I cannot remember the past.

There is no pain here
And I forget what it feels like.
Now I can see
How it could be.

And even though you're too far away for me to see
In darkness, I know I will find you
Giving up inside, like me.

And will it hurt?
And will I dream?
Splits my soul right down it's seams
And what will happen, up in the sky?
I'm too scared to close my eyes.
