A poem about an ended relationship
You said you wanted me gone.
You said for so long
That you didn't care
When I told you I'd always be there.
Now I'm walking out the door
And you're on your knees, begging the lord
That I don't leave you.
But I'm through
Because when I looked into your eyes
I always gave in
But I remember now what you've been
To me in the past.
Your promises never did last
I just can't dare
To look at you anymore
So I'm walking out the door.
I'm gone.
Just like you wanted.
I'm long gone.
