A very simple piece I wrote on suicide
The breathe before plunge
A whisper pre-scream
The dark before dawn
We’re awake yet we dream

An eclipse of your life
Shall flash in your eyes
Fake flesh covers blood
Time to tear that disguise

Slowly but surely
Slice down a line
Into your veins
Hoping you won’t survive

Your eyes will mist over
You’ll try but can’t scream
You’ll turn from this nightmare
And you’ll pray for a dream

Your angel appears
You grab for his arm
He turns you away
His eyes turn to your scars

He looks to the ground
Glass tears fall from his eyes
He whispers, despairing:
“But you wanted to die...”

You weep endless sorrow,
While stars fall from the sky
You leave all love behind you
As you whisper good bye

When you sleep to escape
All the darkness and screams
Close your eyes; carry on
But don’t die for a dream
