A quick poem I hope you'll get something from.
Subconscious

Tension between life and purgatory
I step between the two effortlessly
Lying down every now and then
To find somewhere I'm safe from consciousness
A state in which I don't have to feel
The Noxious feeling left by waking life
Sometimes I'll hope not to wake
And sometimes I fight to escape
Sometimes the two overlap
Dreams leave a residue
I'll either treasure
Or try to wash away
The burdens of consciousness
Never taint a dream
And if I can’t find sanctuary
I'll wake up and try again
