Memories aren't always good ones
We once shared a history,
filled with love and devotion,
but distance erased the memory,
along with all the emotion.

I was told too many lies,
believed in you for too long.
Severed are all of the ties,
for what you did was wrong.

A distant memory you now are,
discarded from my heart.
You pushed me way too far,
I should have seen it from the start.

Time won’t heal the wounds I feel,
I won’t let you in again.
What we shared was never real.
What a fool I’ve been!
