A poem about chasing your inner demons after a failed relationship.
Stars falling from the skies
Passions being built up in the winds
Lies being told through the grapevines
Where are you now?
Are you still running from your demons?
Ever think you were the demons?
Athens to Cleveland
Cleveland to Beaumont
Always running
Lover to lover
Never settling
Fling to fling
Laying in her bed
The covers thick
The Passions on high
While deep inside her
Sharing sweat and love
Do you still think of me?
Do you remember our nights under the shooting stars?
Athens to Cleveland
Cleveland to Beaumont
Always running
Lover to lover
Never settling
Fling to fling
In the milky green grass
You look into her eyes
Do you see my reflection?
Whispering sweet nothings into her ears
Do you hear my echo?

Are you still running from your demons?
Ever think you were the demons?
We were at sin
Laying in each others arms
Whispering each others names in a thrust of love
Oh how could love feel so good
How could it feel so good to be in your arms
To feel you inside my walls
Then you heard the hissing of your demons
And you were gone
Are you still running from your demons?
Ever think you were the demons?
I sit under the black sea of night
The falling stars flash fall from God's hands
Falling like failed missions of dreams and hopes
I still hear your echo's
I still remember your touch and your embracing hold

Athens to Cleveland
Cleveland to Beaumont
Always running
Lover to lover
Never settling
Fling to fling
Are you still running from your demons?
Ever think you were the demons?

Ever think you were the demon?
