Dont let your daughters Marry Truck Drivers
Ode to the life of a truck drivers wife

With no demand's and no request's.
No one to suggest what might be best.

With no husband to satisfy,
I am free to will as I gratify.

With no ridiculous ideas to embellish,
and no insane inlaws to relish,

I am free to take delight,
anytime day or night.

The house is mine, the money too,
I could paint it orange and blue.

I am free from the daily matrimony grind.
but in the dearth of his presence, I find

My days slurr by without a glimpse,
of my magnificent wandering prince.

The chores are mine unaided.
Our children still unabated.

Yet, absence makes the heart grow fonder?
This I must sit and ponder.

Is home just another stop on list?
A place where the road took a twist?

Believe me when I tell you
you are greatly missed.
