an ekfrastic response to a photograph
reaching through the fence She had no fear;
She only wanted to see
the other side.

behind Her the world held no promise of success.
despite Her attempts,
She would spend years continuously seeking escape.

some would say She has no reason to do so.
Her world is just the same.
maybe being trapped

is Destiny…
