My pretty free-verse poem about autumn
laughing, singing in the fall
leaves changin' their outer clothes
to suit the reds and browns of autumn
wind a blowin' north and south
shakin' the trees where they stand
with rakin' leaves from our backyard
a tedious task to be sure
tis gettin' colder by each day
and soon twill be winter
the summer was pleasent
but a change in season is always welcome
from October to November
and soon twill be December
Bears all a hibernatin'
birds all a miagratin'
but for me tis more a wakin' up time
to see all nature's wonders
