Love can bloom from any situation, even decorating a tree
Her beauty like no others
shown for all to see
the one they all did stare at
perched high up on the tree

Angel of the season
her wings were shiny gold
and though she was a beauty
she had no one to love ...to hold

She longed for warm embraces
someone to hold her near
a lonely Christmas angel
in a season built on cheer

With Christmas Eve approaching
her heart began to sink
she knew she would be all alone
atop little lights that blinked

Then one night her heart was captured
by a grin across the room
a little wooden soldier
which took from her all gloom

He stared at her in wanting
a feeling oh so new
and all the while she stared at him
her feelings for him grew

The bells from far across the town
began to chime and ring
and from the Christmas angel's heart
her soul began to sing

As midnight now embraced them
a magic took its hold
for both of them were spellbound
and went to each other....bold

A kiss sent sparks a flying
which lit up all the night
an angel and her soldier
sailed to heaven, free and light
