The feelings envoked by anothers "severing" of a relationship
The Axe

She asked if she could think about it longer…
Why, why, would he want that?
To spend another night, week or month in the tower

For the reprieve wouldn’t last forever it would have to be done.
It would once again be ordered,
And the execution would come.

She stood and delivered her blow
The cut was clean and took but one swing
Where as his head hung low…

Much admiration had he given her in not much time at all.
Her only fault, so he thought…
She gave too much weight to others and not enough to her own cause.

She’s pondered, decided and now she’s done.
So swift and deftly her axe was swung.
Bravo, Bravo milady she’d proven him wrong.
