A poem wrote in a fit of emotion....
You start out strangers, a new face and name
But words are oft exchanged
Familiarity grows with each passing day,
Inside jokes your friends now know too
You wonder if he's meant for you

The sidewalk cracked from all your falls, you hope your back will heal,
Or will you break from this pretty face,
From love and romance reel

Don't get your hopes up too high
Or they'll suffocate you while crashing down
The blankets cover up your shame
And your chest constricts from hidden sigh

Negative or positive,
Will the glass be empty or be full?
Time will tell, in your mind with a yell

See if you can sleep.
Don't utter a peep.
Cause your heart will hear.
And jump with fear.
The smallest whisper,
Will scream the name of this mister.
Your eyes are wet.
Your goals not met.
Disappointed again.
He's only a friend.
