A poem about the consequences of domination, totalitarianism and the rat race.
Universe of flies
.
Here we have made you
A perfect soul, made for the divine acts,
needed for these desperate times
And for the souls left in the expanse of space.
.
Your buzz has kept me here,
you surround the sun and block it out
A chaotic life, a million wings, feet and a billion eyes,
staring at the planet earth, where the invasion starts.
.
The earth, a billion lives, awaiting the endless night,
With an eternal beating of the littlest wings,
Making a deafening sound against the wind,
creating its own storm sweeping over cities.
.
The smell of sulphur is all that’s left while the flies remain
they clean the remains, the shattered parts of earth,
And await you to walk upon them as their ruler,
I bid you king of nothing, your kingdom awaits.
.
