When love is pain and lies
You hide behind false eyes
With barbed words in defense-
Somehow all your shaded lies
Always seemed to make sense.

My heart is so wrapped with you
That you can turn everything around
And make the deeds you do
Justified, reasonable, sound.

You are such a big piece of who
I am, and still ever apart.
I always, and I never, know
The hurtful ways of your heart.

So much love, and revenge and spite-
Why must you cause such hurt, such pain?
Know you not what is right?
I will not shoulder your blame.

This time you are to be held
Accountable for callous misdeeds;
In doubt I will no longer dwell,
It is time to reap your seeds.

You must cast away the shadows that hide,
Truth will warm my love.
Remove Spite’s barb from my side-
Of pain we’ve seen enough.
