Thinking you're going to drown, but someone doesn't want you to.
I looked at the icy cold water,
Thought to my self,
Did I just hear cracks?
The ice gave way,
I fell into the cold darkness.
Feels like thousands of pins and needles,
Poking through to my skin.
No one is around.
I'm going to die.
I can't pull myself out.
My limbs go numb and I can't feel a thing.
Desperately clawing at the ice,
But getting no grip.
It sinks in,
That I have to let go.
So I do.
Sinking, sinking, sinking...
Rising...what?
The hand is strong.
It pulls me out.
It was not my time to go.
