This is about people who are no longer in love, but are to afraid to leave each other.
She sits there and thinks,
about all the time thats passed,
and how she worked so hard,
on something she knew wouldn't last,
the words that they share,
breaks her heart in two,
and she wants to let go,
but she's not sure how to,

Cause she knows to well the definition of lonely,
and she asks herself,
"who else will want me",
each night she crys herself to sleep,
and dreams of the way,
that things used to be,
but she knows nothing will ever change,
and she doesn't want to walk this world alone,
so instead she is living,
in a broken home,

Each day he wakes up,
to the feeling of emptiness,
and even though she's right beside him,
he can still sense his loneliness,
he tried so hard to make it work,
and he held a grip so tight,
that it began to hurt,

But he knows to well,
the definition of lonely,
and he asks himself,
"who else will want me",
each night he lays there and thinks,
wishing that things were the way,
that they used to be,
but he knows nothing will ever change,
and he doesn't want to walk this world alone,
so instead he is living,
in a broken home
