Trying to understand and accept the loss of someone you loved very deeply
I thought you were
my Ashley.
But Ashley never was
in love with Scarlett.
-
I thought you were
like Romeo.
But unlike Juliet,
your mother welcomed me.
-
I thought you were like Blaine,
but unlike Blaine and Andie,
it was my friends, not yours,
who gave me hell for having you.
-
I’m beginning to think you’re like Jack Dawson,
Such a short time we were to together,
We wanted it to last forever.
But unlike Rose, I can only pretend you're dead.
-
And I’ll let you slip away
into the depths of my heart,
knowing our fate is sealed.
We’ll always be forever apart.
-
But I will always love you.
