A strong woman is making her own ammends. Clear mind and soul. Important nonchalance.
The way the Lord moves is his business
He is free to do what he please
It has upset me to see that it has come to this
To make me force you on your knees
Unlike our Lord I show no mercy
Unlike our Lord I will instill in you the feeling of fear
Why? – I don’t know
And I don’t care
It’s not like he can help you
Once I kill you for what you did it will be over
They say what goes around comes around
But God never came my way
So here I am… where he left off
On your knees
You plead
To know not what you did
You claim it a small fib
I care not
I won’t stop
Look into your eyes
And spies…
How I used to be?
Hmm…
Gun in hand
On your knees
You plead you not known yourself
Apologizing
Tears and mucus runs down your face
I now see…
Hmm… fine God…
You win…and as for you
Get up
Clean up yourself
And go on your byways
Walking away Clear mind
Bordering blasphemy
On my knees
Looking out as far as I can see
I plead
And cried an overdue cry
For he that died
And I also cried an overdue cry
For the years that have passed by
And today I let go my pride
And I finally let his soul rise
The way the Lord moves is his business
He is not my concern
I rub my eyes against my sleeve which was starting to burn
Against my gun my palm is flattened
I walk away as if nothing happened
And in the wind my spirit sway
I start to walk away
I sigh and say
Tomorrow is another day…
