We all have a view of ourselves, some darker than others.
Try to catch your breath
Before you meet your death
Feel for your heartbeat
somewhere in your deceit
You look happy with your lies
It’s your bed full of dead flies
Your face is twisted in the mirror
Your agenda just a little clearer
The blood is dripping from your wrists
The devil’s help you now enlist
You can’t recognize your voice
You play it off like you have no choice
Bent on destruction without remorse
You’re right on schedule, right on course
You want to destroy me
You’re jealous, envious and ugly
As I say these words to you
I can tell you think I wont follow through.
As I say these words to the mirror
I can see me a little more clearer
I have to cut just a little deeper
So I can rid myself of you, my soul keeper.
If I can see this side of me
I have to end this travesty.
