The longest thing I've written in a while.
Version 2 (06/06/2011)

I'm a pessimist and proud,
Behind each silver lining there's a cloud.
Don't mistake me for dour,
Sick, twisted or sour,
I'm just realistic
(And a touch pessimistic).

I'm a pessimist and happy,
Not some cheerful, chirpy chappy.
Every minute of the day,
Just a-smiling all the way.
It’s not often I’ll sing songs
It’s not often I’ll right wrongs

I'm a pessimist and funky
Not a stoner or a junky
Don’t disturb me if I’m sleeping,
Just to ask me how I’m keeping
It’s unlikely that I’d strike you,
If I do or do not like you

I like my half empty glass.
Means I can fill it up.
Later.
When i'm ready to.

Version 1 (4/1/2007)

I'm a pessimist and proud,
Behind each silver lining there's a cloud.
Don't mistake me for dour,
Sick, twisted or sour,
I'm just realistic
(And a touch pessimistic).

I'm a pessimist and happy,
Not some cheerful, chirpy chappy.
Every minute of the day,
Just a-smiling all the way.
Not to say i'm never cheerful,
Overjoyed or just plain gleeful.

I'm a pessimist and funky
Not a stoner or a junky
Or alcoholic or a murderer,
Won't eat your baby like a burger - er,
I'm running out of things to say,
So naff off and be on your way.

I like my half empty glass.
Means I can fill it up.
Later.
When i'm ready to.
