A poem I wrote about the 4th of July.
On Parade


It's the Fourth of July,
What a holiday!
On main streets 'cross America,
We are on parade.

Waving flags and singing songs,
We clap and stomp our feet,
In time to the marching band
Going down the street.

The colorful floats go by,
The children laugh and play,
We celebrate America,
On this happy day.
