This is one of my personal best poems.
No one can be perfect
So I'm no longer going to try
I realized it's not worth the effort
Years ago when I almost died
I pushed myself to the limit
But it just led to more pain
Outside I looked like a ghost
And inside I was becoming insane

So many thoughts broke me down
That I considered ending it all
Instead of being perfect
I just took a hard fall
Nothing was ever good enough
I thought I had nothing to live for
But one day I woke up
And realized I deserved much more

I finally took a stand and demanded
The same respect as everyone else
I realize I'll never be perfect
So I just have to be myself
Perfection is just a dream
Some will sacrifice everything to earn
Being happy with who you are
Is the most important lesson you could learn
