just pondering about a woman i know and what it would be like to tell her i love her
Like battle spent arrows
Words... fall from my lips,
to splash across the page like tears
Soaking in, becoming one.
My emotion now fused with this instrument
I could eradicate them, scrub them from sight,
but they are there
under the surface. Ink and revelation may be gone.
Truth is still there. Changing, reforming, and...
they have tainted this instrument for ever.
Like some chemical reaction.
Never again immaculate, or receiving.
laying down these words as would a lover their hearts.
Gentle but dispiriting. Exacting no love in return.
As if death lay in your arms
To be scrubbed from someone’s memories
Oh Truth, what truth, Truth...
like these words, They must come forward ,
be brought to life and light
shoved into the light,
this love for her
can it bear the weight of full examination?
which is held up for proof of the watermark.
Will this hidden seal I have placed upon this paper
reveal my heart?
Cringing looking for the cool dark of my self
I hide my truth
I hide my desire...
I hide my... self
Violently, valiantly, vainly
Thwarted, I lay spent
No mercy to be bought or begged
confession seems my only reprieve
My master drags me from the auction block
Knowing I am now a broken hollow slave
Loves discredited dirty faced angel
cupid brought low
