A letter to God, or other omnipotent being.
Dear Ray of Hope ,

How long these last days have been.
I long for respite.
A chance to breathe,
a chance to live.
Chaos and turmoil
my fear has brought me.
All is grey and dim.
It bogs me down,
teasing my very existence.
Shine your everlasting light.
The glimmer in the distance.
Cast down your joy.
Lift away the darkness.
I pray to see through their haze,
and gaze at your undying light.
