This is a poem about love.
Alone in the Dark

I awoke one night from a bad dream
and stared down to see crimson stained sheets.
A hole in my chest where my heart should have been,
was not painfully ripped, but delicately taken.
For in the darkness I thought I was alone.
I just wanted someone to call my own.
So I peered into the space, lacking of light,
to see you cradling my heart, holding it tight.
And there you were, plain for me to see,
that you were the only one for me.
For in the darkness I thought I was alone.
I finally had someone to call my own.
