A short poem about Halloween
The brisk night was coming quicker now.
The icy air gets bitterly cold earlier and stronger.
It claws at the flesh, ripping it bare.

From out of everywhere the undead emerges.
Zombies, vampires, witches,
And other minions of the Devil.

They were all looking for treats.
Treats in all colors:
Blood red, pale white, and more.

Bodiless heads sat upon porches,
Grinning at the beings before them
As if they were excited.

The legion in the street
Ventured from door to door saying:
“Trick-or-Treat.”
