As a military brat, I move a lot. This is my reflection of that.
People come and go all the time.
I've adjusted - but that doesn't make it any easier.
The ache never truly leaves.
It festers at you when you least expect it,
Tearing you down bit by tiny bit.
But people come, just as they go,
And for every piece that is torn from me,
Another is built in its place.
I may never be fully complete as a person-
But this is enough for now.
