Wrote it when feeling shaken-up; still trying to regain composure
A WAKE-UP CALL

I strolled and sauntered,
A simple life as I encountered,
I smiled and laughed a lot,
Even in the face of a riot.

Believing in goodness,
Worshipping moral values,
Knowing truly in my heart,
I am no noble saint.

Out of the blue it rose,
A tidal wave so close,
It washed over my entire being,
It doused out my spirit of living.

Many good deeds questioned,
All repressed memories flashed,
Leaving a bare heart in the work-station
Can I recreate a masterpiece creation?
