A correspondence between a broken-hearted woman and her object of affection
A LETTER TO MARK

To the Mark I loved,

A letter for such person with such name
Is a letter for such love forbidden
A letter such for one my heart he maim
Is a letter form one such tear-drunken

Never such a heart know that it will fall
For someone whose name sounds a stranger's
knock
Never such a fool fall for such a call
Of a pompous one whose heart is a rock

When I see your handsome enticing face
When your arrogance calls out the strong blow
I fall for you again in such a case
I forget the nights I cried, (the nights) my spirit's low

But alas, now you have someone in there
Someone who your heart has been yearning for
When the wind touches my cheek, pulls my hair
I cry long, my heart you have deeply bore

A letter I write to this entity
Is a paper that will be thrown away
As the wind blows more on my vanity
The love I throw away, still finds back its way

A NOTE TO MARK'S SECRET ADMIRERS:

For those who love this person with such name
A love that's hidden in the heart deeply
A love clandestine, I hope not the same
He is now happy, how very lovely

If this happiness will hurt you the same
Cry on days that will be windy
For someone has his arrogant heart tame
No more hearts can enter, (no more hearts) wait
injury...

Still loving you,
ANONYMOUS

THE REPLY OF MARK

To the person who sent the letter,

A letter from this tear-drunken person
I never let pass through another day
A letter whose words sing in unison
A letter whose heartfelt message can say

To this person who loved me selflessly
To this person whose heart I have broken
Never cry on a day that is windy
If you do not want a tearful token

If my handsome face you always look for
If my arrogance calls out hurricanes
Don't look at it then when I'm at the door
Or if we cross paths down the lane

If in your family it is legal
Why don't you think deeply before you act
I don't care if your background is regal
Think if my family accepts that fact

If you continue loving me that way
Even if my heart has someone in it
Cry, then the night whould be what of your day
Love me more, don't blame me if your throat's slit

If you want to continue living on
Then bury everything six feet under
Love someone else and everything is won
Happiness of your heart laughs asunder

A NOTE TO MY SECRET ADMIRERS:

There will be more to your colorful life
Rather than loving someone who's taken
Don't thrust through your beating heart a sharp
knife
If my heart has a haven
Move on to the better things in your life
In that way, all of us you can gladden

Sincerely Yours,
MARK
