Thoughts on love
a kiss when your face is wet with tears
a smile when you look at him and he doesn't know
your fingers running through his hair
his sleeping face
his hand around your waist
laughter as he carries you on his shoulder
as you mock-fight with your sleepy reflexes and his skilled technique
morning tea together on the verandah of a villa surrounded by greenery
introducing you to his family
teaching you to rollerblade
believing in you, when you, yourself, find it hard to
his habits, which have nothing to do with you, but you still love them
the pancakes you made together
the first time he kissed you
the first time you felt love as you sat cuddled on a park-bench
learning to say "I love you” without fear
learning that you can be loved for who you are unconditionally
listening to him as he shares the things that make him happy
walking each on your own road and still-together
Love
