About a relationship that ended badly...
You say there's nothing real to me
That you could blow me away like dust
I'm not what you want me to be
I grate on you like brakes on rust

I ask you why
You say goodbye
You tell me but you just won't say
the reason why you act this way
The thing I really want to hear
Is why you just don't want me near

You said that you were here for me
but you threw those words back in my face
Now I know the cold reality
You want me gone without a trace

Someday you'll find somebody
So different from me
Who thinks the same way that you do
Who only likes the surface too
She's been the right one all along
And as for me, I've been so wrong

There's nothing more for you to see
That's really all that's left of me
So gaze through the transparency
The you and me dichotomy.
