if something was to happen during sleep and not waking up the next day
The day is slipping by fast
Soon today will be in the past.

The nights cool air sweeps in
making the curtain do a little spin.

It’s time to fall fast asleep
Without a whisper or a peep.

If I shall not open my eyes again
I want you to know, you are truly a great friend.

I hope to see you tomorrow
Without you hurting or feeling pain and sorrow.

The smile that is always on your face
makes my world a better place.

But if I shall not open my eyes again
I want you to know, you are truly a great friend.
