A place visited and captured long ago.
Grey, dusty, hazy, gravel roads
Heat dancing off the surface
Green, brown trees line up, down each side
Mid-summer sleep locks this time and place
A memory, peaceful time

Nature’s sounds filter through
Mind is clear, sharp, and relaxed
A gentle clam breeze fans the surface
Warm and comforting

The air slides its way back and forth
Across the fields
Only betrayed by the tall grass
as it gives slightly to the gentle nudging

Reclined, held in a state of communion
As if, to promise more
Keep this, don't loose it
Just a little longer, then
Pulled through to the next plane

Too late, the spell is broken
I never made it, and,
have never returned to that time or place since.
