A Poem To My Father
You gave me life, you helped me grow
You taught me things I didn't know
You picked me up when I would fall
You always answered when I would call
Thank you Daddy for all your love
I know I never showed it much
but I'm glad we always stayed in touch
I know I should have visited more
and the excuse of being busy is such a bore
Thank you Daddy for all your love
Daddy please don't leave me now
without you I'll get lost in this town
I'm sorry I wasn't always there
I'm sorry that I dyed and cut my hair
I'm sorry I wasn't the greatest daughter
but I'm glad I didn't listen to my mother
Memories of us I hold in my heart
oh God, please don't tear us apart
I love you Daddy, more than you'll ever know
I guess sometimes I should have let it show
