Ever have one of those days when there's millions of thoughts racing around in your head?
My thoughts are like the roaring waterfalls -
They tumble, around and around.
One mixes with the thousands of others
If I’m not careful, I’ll soon be drowned.

As my thoughts cascade over rocky edges
I try to stop them, to take a moment
To consider each one, by itself, alone
But too many more follow and I lose it.

They begin slowly at the top, floating placidly by
Until all of the sudden they plunge over the tip
And for an instant or two, they are lost in the foam
Which awaits at the bottom, the end of their trip.

Lost, lost, indistinguishable
I can’t seem to separate
Noise and bubbles cloud my senses
There’s nothing left to do but wait.
