A poem about a trip in the mind.
There was three of us in the room: Dave Paul and Me
We thought we'd drop some acid
And set our minds free.

Over the next forty minutes,
reality began to fade,
Fantasy took over and
We let our craziness invade.

I looked at Dave then at Paul,
Then at the image
That appeared on the wall.

The trip had begun,
There was no going back,
I was on the moon
And my skin was black.

I saw the door and wanted to run,
But I couldn't get up
Because my legs weighed a ton.

I looked to the floor
And the rug became a boat.
If I could just get to that
Then maybe I could float?

Then the music was turned up,
And I became the beat
I was hitting the walls
But was still sat in my seat.

The night was not yet over
There was still a lot to see
But what a night to remember,
Dave, Paul and Me.
