My answer to a cryptic puzzle.
For those who came in late:-
BRADDOCK and GENO set a cryptic conundrum for me, their Mother.
Read their entries and see if you can decipher their coded messages
before reading how I solved the mystery.
"Invalid Item
"The Beast

MEG's reply:-

Two boys of mine have penned their rhymes
To puzzle and confuse
Their mother, who is MEG you know
Was wise unto their ruse.

For GENO's poem did ask of me
What was the object here,
With polka dots on concave shield --
My T.V. -- That was clear.

Depress the key? I turn it on.
Colour blind my boys are, see.
The weightless beam from a remote
Meets the beam from my T.V.

(This is a jest they do employ,
For it is a well known tale,
When I turned my set on one fine day
My picture, it did fail.)

BRADDOCK now referred to this
My set he called "The Beast".
And when nothing I could watch that day,
I was bored to say the least.

To fill the empty hours,
No pad or pen I'd use,
But on a keyboard, create poems,
And for Angels write reviews.

Your cryptic puzzle's solved my boys,
It's up to you again,
To set another conundrum,
Can't trick your Mother Hen.
