A poem of loss
When Angels Fly
2005

I run then scream unleashing this pain
Denial, Anger then Acceptance is the game
In my hand your picture sits
Holding it tight helps to ease these chains
Feeling abandoned feeling deranged

My palms open to see what they reveal
They unfold with bloodstains
A face with no corpse remains

You’re above me without your skin
My body is a darkened filled with sin
Rain pours down, it pours down
While you smile I frown

Somewhere far beyond the highest tree
You fly over me
On coble stone I walk passing by
All alone I’m left to cry

When in time did we separate?
To, two clashing worlds of love and hate
Where angels cry and the devil plays
Here on land you left a stray
So far away
I stay here
While your safe untouched by fear

Take me with you where the chosen nest
A place where God’s children rest
Where in life am I to go?
How long till I know?
What the distance is of my road
Every Question with no answer
I’m Walking Sick silently like cancer

Now I’m here left in imagination
Directed with no navigation
Fantasies of holding your hand
Thoughts of life when you were my friend

Will Reminiscing be my assassin?
Regardless, to this world I’m fastened
You are where you belong
Dancing to heavens love song

I may never deserve such a voyage
Paradise with you takes courage
Which I don’t possess
Misery is my mistress

Until that hill
I’ll go through the stages of grief
Hold tight to your picture with belief
You rest in radiance
As I wait here void of patience
