Poem: A soul in despair eventually reaches out to the universal mender of broken hearts.
When tears fall like rain down a cold windowpane
And eyes fill with clouds from the storm,
When dark are the days from the fog and the haze
As a frozen heart tries to get warm.

When all that one has are the shards from the glass
Of an impact too solemn to bear,
When shattering dreams and once silent screams
In deafening cries fill the air.

When moments are lost in the glistening frost
Of a soul now unable to feel,
And the knife of desire cuts a path through the fire
Forging scars undeniably real.

When numbness sets in as a hope once again
Is lost to the death of the tides,
And love swept away in the span of a day
Leaves a void where no promise abides.

When the hands from a clock with no tick and no tock
Hide a face weatherbeaten from time,
And there's no turning back damage caused by the lack
Of a song from it's delicate chime.

When eternity lies in the depth of the skies
And the diamonds of faith turn to dust,
When the wind rips the veil till the ship cannot sail
And the gold in the ring starts to rust.

That's when all despair through the strength of a prayer
Must reach for a hand that's unseen,
And cling to the One when a life comes undone
Who can wash all the tragedies clean.

Rhyme once again flows as the bud of a rose
Becomes a magnificent flower,
So breathe in the scent of a journey well spent
For it may only last for the hour.
