This is the beginning of a poem I started on death. This is a rough draft.
          Eyes upon your grave
          I watched with fear.
          My heart ached for
          one last touch.
          I wanted to believe
          you were not gone.
          I dreamed you
          were away for
          the weekend.
          I shed that tear
          not wanting to
          believe the casket
          held you instead of
          me holding you.
          Now, I find that
          I must go on
          remembering those
          days when you said,
          "I love you."
          I never got that chance,
          The day you went away.
          I am now lost within
          this hurtful world.
          Without you by my side.
