Poem in Chaucerian couplet; theme of loss.
Alone I walk into the cold abyss,
A feeling in my heart of emptiness.
I look into the sky at night to see
A darkness where my solace used to be.
There is no comfort, only a dark sky.
Around me penetrates no saving light.
The night envelops me and all my dreams;
Alone I am, forever, so it seems.
So what, now, is this tortured soul to do?
The stars are meaningless now, without you.
