People can be mean sometimes with what they say. This is only one example.
You cut me with your eyes,
You slice me with your words
That’s OK, I’ll survive.
Born to parents poor
On my own most time
Fine.  I will become much more
Cut with your eyes,
Slice me with your words.
I’ll still survive;
I will survive.
