Written two years ago about a distant love
Hopeless, Sparkless
Eyes don't shine through
Lips nonchalant, careless
Heart gives all, overwhelmed
Optimism failing
Fearing, dreading whats to come

Pain subtly exuding
Your body, killing me
Surface appearance
Fake, unappealing
I see through
That concealed within
You're unhappy

To see you, this state
Far from yourself
Flash me a smile
It's unreal, I know
I see your pain
Yearning, begging
I'll cure you
