I blame it on my mind. It kept pestering me with it until I cracked and wrote it.
On a dark summer's eve,
By the sea.
You saw a strange creature,
What could it be?

You crept forward a little,
Curious and naive.
Silly human, I thought you knew better,
Than to play with me.

The waves rushed down,
They took you under.
With a roaring cry,
And a clap of thunder.

You swim, try to surface,
Too late.
I am the Sea,
The Goddess of fate.
