A song I wrote during 3 month seperation from my wife.
It's 40 degrees at 7:30
and I'm eating chinese food alone
I'm writing my thoughts on paper napkins
so I don't lose them on the phone.

and though my thoughts are still with you
my thoughts can't keep me warm
and I can't help feeling alone.

So I call you up and I interupt
important conversations about
How I could never love you
and how  you'll have to do without

And I may be the kind of man
whose words don't come out right
I promise to hold you every night

Maybe we wont have lobster tails
or crab legs everynight
but I make a mean maccoroni and cheese
and some hamburger delight
and I promise I will hold you every night.
